White tea – properties
White tea is harvested when the leaves are still small buds. The buds, covered with white fuzz, are then dried. This type of tea is the least processed and, therefore, considered the healthiest. White tea is high in polyphenols and catechins . These are antioxidants that destroy free radicals and reduce oxidative stress. This helps slow the aging process and has anti-cancer properties.
