Obtaining this oil is extremely time-consuming and expensive, as it takes nearly half a ton of prickly pear seeds to produce one liter of oil. Such proportions make this oil a luxury product and rarely available.
Prickly pear oil contains the most vitamin E of all cosmetic oils on the market (150% more than argan oil). In addition, prickly pear seed oil has as much as 88% unsaturated fatty acids (the highest of all oils).
Uses of argan oil
