Application in cosmetics:
Cedarwood oil is used in cosmetics for oily and acne-prone skin, providing astringent properties. It helps control sebum production and prevent oily skin.
In hair care products, it strengthens hair and prevents hair loss. It can be added to shampoos or rubbed into the scalp as a jojoba-based hair oil.
Use in aromatherapy:
Cedarwood oil has calming properties, reduces stress and nervous tension, and improves concentration. It combines well with citrus oils.
The oil is also an effective natural repellent for mosquitoes, ticks, and other insects. It can be applied to exposed body parts when diluted in a carrier oil or blended with eucalyptus and lemon oils .
